HOW CAN A SOBER COMPANION HELP ME?

In early recovery, the focus in on becoming stable. A Sober Companion can help you in your process of building a strong support community; this is a crucial piece in that confusing puzzle.

Scientific research and anecdotal information both show that alcoholics & addicts who complete addiction treatment and who attend 12-Step meetings and initiate an active plan of participation in their fellowships are three times more likely to have maintained consistent sobriety three years later than those who do not participate in such fellowships.

If you desire entree into the best meetings in town, and introductions to those members of 12-Step fellowships who have a proven track record of success, a Sober Coach or Sober Companion can help you find a number of solid meetings in one of several fellowships. We also can help introduce you to people with many years of service as sponsors in those programs.

Of course, there is no requirement a Sober Companion be the one to lead you to high-quality meetings and/or introduce you to a fantastic sponsor. This aspect of our service is for people who are so busy (or whose public profile is such) that they simply cannot afford the time and effort involved in meeting-hopping and sponsor-shopping.

In most cases, just a few days with a Sober Companion can save our clients weeks of hunting and pecking and trying to figure out where to go, what to wear, and who to meet. It really works.

Our staff is particularly adept at helping you find other support as well. Many alcoholics and addicts early in recovery benefit greatly not only from the services of a Sober Companion, but also from caring professionals who provide healing therapy, body work (massage, chiropractic, yoga, etc.), anger management, parenting classes, and a wide variety of other forms of professional care.

Rest assured that there is a strong group of physical and mental health professionals (many of whom have been in recovery for many years) who specialize in treating recovering people. We know them all, and we know the cream of the crop.

Together, we can determine what constitutes a good day for you, besides not using.

Together, we will help motivate and transport you to a new experience in your recovery.

Together, we will craft a plan for a better life.

Our job is to help you make the most of what you already know, while assisting you in maintaining abstinence.

We don't harp on the problems and the pathologies... We jump into solution with you, whatever the problem is.

Give yourself a break. Get the help you deserve. Protect the investment you have made in your recovery.
